Suran Song in Stag Turns a Probing Eye on Important Issues in Human Affairs on “Pure Agitator” by Emily Stevens, Womanstruck

By Emily Stevens
Suran Song in Stag is opinionated, shedding fresh light on the Right’s use of “good-girl/puppet daughters” to carry out their misogynist orders (Track 2 “Female Rape Jury”/track 3 “Bad faith Inclusion”). In fact, SSIS turns a probing eye on the most important issue in human affairs: insecurity.
Pure Agitator is an analyses of current trends in the way that we seem to assert our power and manifest our insecurities –often by inflicting our self-hate upon others. With Pure Agitator, and the album’s beautiful multi-media live show, Suran Song in Stag shows how paranoid, weak, and alone the Slave Master is.
