Suran Song (Riot Grrl NYC) is mostly known for her work as a performance artist. Here she is backed by William Weis, Jason Reynolds, Dave Urbano, and producer/drummer Claude Coleman Jr. (Ween). These two pop punk songs feature Song’s lofty, elegant vocals. From the write-ups and nods to Laurie Anderson, Neurosis, Ad-Busters etc. I imagine this great seven inch is the shadow of a superb live performance.
